Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures with my Family, my Faith and Fun we have together. Hope you find something that brings you joy!

The beginning...

The beginning...

I thought that the best thing to write about for my first post is why I created this blog in the first place. Go back to the beginning of this idea and why I decided to move forward. I am a mom to 6 adorable, full of life, and crazy kiddos. We have the spectrum of ages from 15 months up to 14 years (2 girls and 4 boys). I LOVE my kids and they are my most favorite people in the whole world!! Life is better with them in it and there is never a dull moment. About 8 months ago I came to a place where I felt like I needed to do something to help out with my family. I considered many options as far as working and my first choice would to work from home. This whole process brought on a lot of stress and anxiety. When would I find the time to work, where would I work, how can I make this work while in school etc. All I knew is that I wanted to do the best thing for my family. Blogging was NOT on my radar. It is not something that I have ever wanted to do and I definitely didn’t want to make my life a public place for people to see. While I love my family it isn’t perfect but it is perfect for me and I was afraid of what others might think, or say, or judge. I hope that makes sense? I researched so many options. The hardest part is I still have 2 littles that aren’t in school yet and another child that is on the autism spectrum. I knew that if I had to put them in daycare that it would get expensive fast and I probably would pay the babysitter almost my entire paycheck. What would be the point in that? If I was going to work it was supposed to help my family… not take me away from them so that I could not really make any money ha ha. Plus I wanted to be there for my autistic child whenever they needed me. Who else would help with the struggles but still with a heart full of LOVE?? I made this a matter of prayer. I always worry about doing the RIGHT thing and not just the thing I want. I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I want to live the life that God wants for me. All I wanted to do was spend time with my kids and get paid for it ha ha. Why can’t that be a thing? We need each other and it is a lot of work. Plus, I also wanted to do some good. I want to help people if I can. Reach out to others and connect. We all need that. The idea of a blog came to me one day and honestly I said to myself, “heck no”. Ha ha. It sounded like a ton of work, could put me in the public eye, and usually isn’t successful. I kept trying to think of other things, but the blog kept coming back to me. So, here I am. Taking a leap of faith that this will all work out. If nothing else, I am so happy if I can help other people. Maybe make their day a little better. I want to learn from all of you. I am so far from perfect and would love ideas. I want to talk about family, faith and fun (thus the name). One of my main goals is to find fun things to do (hopefully screen free) and share the things we find. I also want to hear from you. What are your ideas? What does your family do for fun? Let’s all have fun together and learn from each other. Uplift each other. Create a place that brings JOY!!!

Love, Jen
